Farmstead cheese with a firm, pressed and cooked paste. Ripened for 8 months, this cheese has a gold to copper coloured rind. The smooth paste holds a bouquet of delicate aromas of cream, hazelnut, wild flowers and smoked wood. The word “ménestrel” means minstrel, a wandering entertainer of old who would sing and tell stories to amuse the folk.
